Corporate Social Innovation

A Tool to Reach the Sub-Saharan BOP Market

Paper description:

This thesis concerns the relationship between corporations, innovation and the markets on the bottom of the economic pyramid. The Sub-Saharan region was used as point of departure while the focal point was on how corporations can develop solutions to some of the region’s most pressing problems by incorporating corporate social innovation into their business strategies while simultaneously making a profit.
Cases used are MYC4, Grundfos & Vestergaard Frandsen

Author's own comment:

As far as we know the combination of CSI & BOP is unseen. This thesis is therefore useful for people interested in CSR, Social Innovation, Development, innovation, BOP markets and CSI.
It clarifies the concept CSI and looks at how companies have successfully used the strategy to help others while growing a profit.
